BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON NSF INTERNATIONAL

NSF/ANSI 42 CERTIFICATION

Propur™ is fully engaged in it's initiative for certification which began about a year ago. We are pleased to announce that the ProOne® G2.0 filter has received ANSI/NSF-42 certification from NSF International. We continue with this initiative. The ProOne® G2.0 filter has met the standards required to provide healthy clean drinking water.

With a mission to protect and improve human health globally, NSF is an independent accredited organization that tests and certifies a product to ensure that it meets the regulatory requirements necessary by the United States as well as testing requirements for many other countries. The NSF water certification is used as a mark of distinction for consumers to have knowledge that the product they are using is able to safely and effectively remove contaminants from drinking water.

WHAT IS NSF/ANSI 42: Drinking Water Treatment Units - Aesthetic Effects?
NSF/ANSI 42 establishes the minimum requirements for the certification of POU/POE filtration systems designed to reduce specific aesthetic or non-health-related contaminants (chlorine, taste, odor and particulates) that may be present in public or private drinking water.

The scope of NSF/ANSI 42 includes material safety, structural integrity and aesthetic, non-health-related contaminant reduction performance claims.

WHAT IS NSF/ANSI 53: Drinking Water Treatment Units - Health Effects NSF/ANSI 53?
establishes the minimum requirements for the certification of POU/POE filtration systems designed to reduce specific health-related contaminants, such as Cryptosporidium, Giardia, lead, volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) and MTBE (methyl tertiary-butyl ether), that may be present in public or private drinking water.

The scope of NSF/ANSI 53 includes material safety, structural integrity and health-related contaminant reduction performance claims.

Propur consults with an independent third party certified water testing laboratory offering unbiased analytical testing on the ProOne® G2.0 filters.  The ProOne® G2.0 filter has been tested in accordance with NSF- 42 and 53 standards, and the only “ALL-IN-ONE” CONTAMINANTS & FLUORIDE GRAVITY WATER FILTER that qualifies as a microbiological water purifier by NSF protocol P231.Test results by Envirotek Laboratories, Inc., certified by the state of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection show the ProOne® G2.0 filter removes and/or reduces contaminants including heavy metals, VOC’s, monochloramines, pesticides, herbicides, pharmaceutical drugs, fluoride, bacteria, viruses, Giardia and more without the need of any add-on filters. Even the contaminants that were found in the Toledo and West Virginia water supplies are covered by the ProOne® G2.0 filter. For complete lab report details, please click on the tabs below.
